ZERON (Zero One Auto) 零一汽车

CATL's only investment target in electric heavy-duty trucks

Four-year-old electric heavy-truck manufacturer with full-stack in-house development — vehicle, e-axle, thermal management, drive-by-wire chassis and end-to-end autonomous driving — delivering more than 1,000 trucks a year and filed for a Hong Kong listing in May 2026.

ZERON official site: new-energy heavy trucks

ZERON builds new-energy heavy trucks as the vehicle entry point for future 'road transport robots'. In four years it has closed the loop from ground-up vehicle design, through its own e-axle and thermal-management systems and drive-by-wire chassis, to an end-to-end multimodal driving model and a nationwide sales and service network. 2025 revenue rose 320.8 percent to 522 million renminbi; deliveries in the first four months of 2026 reached 778 trucks, up 334.6 percent. CATL holds 11.51 percent and is the company's largest external shareholder; ZERON is CATL's only investment target in electric heavy-duty trucks.

01Products and solutions

New-energy heavy trucks (tractor and rigid configurations)

Ground-up designed battery-electric heavy trucks with the most highly integrated mass-produced e-axle among new entrants; 15 percent lower combined energy use than competing vehicles at rated load.

Proprietary e-axle and thermal-management systems

In-house electric drive axle and thermal management, available as the core of the vehicle platform.

ZSD end-to-end autonomous-driving system

Heavy-truck end-to-end multimodal model; ranked first among pure-vision entries in the CVPR 2024 large-scale end-to-end driving challenge. Targets L4 trunk-line logistics.

Zhizi fleet platform

Monitors more than 4,000 vehicle signals across the full vehicle lifecycle and feeds real-world road data back into vehicle iteration, algorithm training and simulation.

02Key strengths

  • Three 'firsts' among new-energy heavy-truck entrants: the most integrated mass-produced e-axle, the fastest to 1,000 annual deliveries after founding, and the highest sales growth over the past year.
  • Positioned in a market forecast to reach about 1.2 million new-energy heavy trucks a year globally by 2030, and an autonomous heavy-truck solutions market of 192.4 billion renminbi by 2030 and more than one trillion by 2035.
  • The first company worldwide combining ground-up vehicle R&D with a heavy-truck end-to-end multimodal driving model — industry-leading technology converted into customer cost advantage.
  • CATL is the largest external shareholder with 11.51 percent; ZERON is CATL's only investment target in electric heavy-duty trucks.
